The beginning of a journey: The desire to have children
Often, our work together begins even before a pregnancy is confirmed. If the longed-for child doesn't arrive immediately, it can be very stressful for couples. The desire to have children is a sensitive topic, and we approach it with ample time, state-of-the-art diagnostics, and deep understanding. Together, we examine the hormonal foundations, the menstrual cycle, and the physical prerequisites to explore ways in which your dream of having your own family can become a reality. In doing so, we not only consider the medical facts but also always listen attentively to your emotional well-being.
Safety through comprehensive prenatal care
As soon as you hold the positive test in your hands, a period of intense physical and emotional changes begins. Comprehensive and expert prenatal care is now the foundation for the health of both mother and child. We will accompany you at regular intervals throughout the next 40 weeks. These appointments serve to monitor your baby's timely development and to keep an eye on your own well-being.
Prenatal care encompasses far more than just measuring blood pressure and weight. We take the time to address your questions, concerns, and wishes. Each stage of pregnancy has its own specific topics – from nutrition and exercise in early pregnancy to preparing for childbirth.
A window into the uterus: The ultrasound
One of the most moving moments of any examination is the ultrasound. It is far more than a mere medical check-up; it is the first visual encounter with your child. Using state-of-the-art technology, we take a look inside the uterus, check the heartbeat, the position of the placenta, and your baby's growth. This diagnostic imaging allows us to precisely document the progress of development and gives you the reassurance that everything is proceeding as planned.
Modern prenatal diagnostics for peace of mind
In modern medicine, we now have options that go far beyond basic prenatal care. Prenatal diagnostics offer additional reassurance. Through specialized tests—such as first-trimester screening or non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT)—early indications of genetic abnormalities or malformations can be obtained. We will advise you on this in detail and without bias. It is important to us that you decide which tests are important to you personally, so that you can go through your pregnancy with peace of mind.
Risks in focus: Preeclampsia and gestational diabetes
Even though most pregnancies are completely uncomplicated, medical monitoring is so important because we need to detect potential risks like preeclampsia early. This condition, also known as "pregnancy-induced hypertension," often manifests as high blood pressure and protein in the urine. Our close monitoring allows us to identify early signs and take appropriate measures to protect the health of you and your baby.
Another key aspect of prenatal care is testing for gestational diabetes. Since elevated blood sugar levels during pregnancy often remain asymptomatic but can affect the baby's birth weight and metabolic health, we routinely perform this screening. If diabetes is diagnosed, we will closely monitor your dietary changes and/or other therapeutic steps.
Preparing for childbirth
As your due date approaches, the birth itself becomes the focus of our conversations. We'll discuss your preferred mode of delivery, answer any questions you may have about pain relief or cesarean sections, and help you create a personalized birth plan. Our goal is to empower you to make informed decisions and approach childbirth with a sense of autonomy. Our network of midwives and maternity hospitals in the region ensures a smooth transition from outpatient care to the delivery room.

The time afterwards: The postpartum period
Our care doesn't end on the day of delivery. The postpartum period is a time for regeneration, getting to know your new baby, and hormonal adjustment. In the first few weeks after birth, essential healing processes take place – both physical and emotional. We are there for you during your postpartum check-ups, monitor your recovery, support you with breastfeeding questions, and keep a close eye on your mental well-being. The "baby blues" or postpartum depression are topics we discuss openly to provide you with the support you need.
