Medical history
Please take some time to complete your individual medical history below. This is the cornerstone of every medical treatment. In our practice, your general medical and gynecological medical history are combined to provide the best possible holistic care.
The medical history is the heart of every medical treatment – it is the structured conversation in which you entrust me with your medical history, your symptoms, and your life circumstances. In my practice, the general medical and gynecological perspectives merge to form a holistic picture of your health.
The gynecological history
Here we delve deeper into women's health and hormonal processes.
- Cycle & Menstruation: We talk about the regularity, the strength of the bleeding and any pain.
- Pregnancies: Have there been any previous pregnancies, births, or miscarriages?
- Contraception: Which method do you currently use and how well do you tolerate it?
- Preventive care: When was the last cancer screening examination and were there ever any abnormal findings?
- Hormonal transitions: Are you going through menopause or are you currently planning a pregnancy?
Gynecological problems are often linked to general medical causes – for example, menstrual irregularities can be a sign of thyroid problems (general medicine). By combining both areas, we save time and often find the true cause of your symptoms more quickly.
The general medical history
In general medicine, we view the body as a whole. The goal is to understand the connections between different organ systems and your lifestyle.
- Current symptoms: How long have they existed, what do they feel like, and what makes them worse or better?
- Pre-existing conditions & surgeries: Have there been any previous procedures or chronic conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes?
- Medications: Which medications do you take regularly (including herbal remedies)?
- Family history: Are there any hereditary risks for cardiovascular disease or cancer in your family?
- Social history: What does your daily life look like? Stress factors, diet, exercise and sleep habits play a major role here.
