This technological expertise enables us to identify the precise cause of your symptoms and develop a well-founded treatment plan.
Our holistic approach focuses on your well-being.
In our practice, we go far beyond a purely organic perspective. We know that pain perception is individual. We consider both physical and psychological factors that can contribute to or intensify pain. Stress, tension, and personal pain memory often play a significant role in chronic conditions.
Our holistic approach aims not only to alleviate symptoms in the short term, but also to treat the underlying problems sustainably. We want to understand how the pain affects your daily life in order to offer you a therapy that truly fits your life.

Each patient requires different support. Therefore, our range of therapies is broad, offering individual paths to a better quality of life.

Endometriosis

Endometriosis: Pathways to a precise diagnosis and effective pain therapy

Endometriosis is one of the most underestimated diseases in gynecology. Approximately 7 to 10 percent of women of childbearing age are affected, with the disease occurring most frequently between the ages of 25 and 35 and often running in families. Nevertheless, many years often pass before a correct diagnosis is made. In our practice, we have made it our mission to alleviate this "preventable suffering" through early detection and specialized treatment approaches.

What is endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. These so-called endometrial lesions respond to the menstrual cycle, but cause inflammation, severe pain, and scarring because the blood cannot flow out naturally. These lesions can develop anywhere in the abdominal cavity—for example, on the ovaries, intestines, or bladder—and in rare cases, even outside of it, such as in the lungs.

Recognizing typical symptoms
The main symptom is severe pain during menstruation, which often significantly disrupts daily life. However, the signs are varied:

  • Cycle-independent pain: Lower abdominal pain even outside of menstruation.
  • Pain during everyday functions: discomfort during sexual intercourse, bowel movements, or urination.
  • Unfulfilled desire to have children: Endometriosis is a common cause of infertility or sterility.
  • Accompanying symptoms: Chronic fatigue, digestive problems such as diarrhea or constipation, and persistent bladder pain.

Our specialized diagnostics and therapy
Early diagnosis is crucial to minimize long-term consequences. We offer highly specialized, state-of-the-art medical care to help you achieve this.
Non-invasive diagnosis by experts:
In accordance with the recommendations of the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM), gynecologist Manuela Franke has completed specialized training in transvaginal sonography of endometriosis. This enables us to make a precise, non-invasive diagnosis and an initial assessment of the extent of the lesions without the immediate need for surgery.

Because chronic pain can dominate your life, Dr. Michael Sroka, a specialized pain therapist, is here to support you. Within the framework of multimodal pain therapy, we aim for the best possible pain control. We combine various approaches such as pain medication, hormone therapies, and – if necessary – planning for surgical interventions.
