Preliminary laboratory tests indicated the<br>Ebola virus was found in 13 of 20 samples; the results suggest a variant that does not correspond to the Zaire Ebola virus \u2013 sequencing of the samples is still ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Approximately 246 suspected cases and 65 deaths have been reported \u2013 mainly in the Mongwalu and health zones.<br>Rwampara \u2013 including four deaths among the laboratory-confirmed cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Given population mobility, the uncertain security situation, and the geographical proximity of the affected areas to Uganda and South Sudan, the authorities are concerned about the risk of further spread.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In der Provinz Ituri (D.R.
